Good morning, Spartans!
WORD OF THE WEEK: Your second Word of the Week relating to terms of thanks is the word TA. Never heard it before? Well, you may have if you've spent time in England. Some British use this term as a way of saying thanks. There are two schools of thought for where it comes from: some etymologists believe it mimics a child's talk for thanks; others suggests it comes from the Danish, whose word for thanks is tak. In Scotland and upper England it was common pronunciation to drop the end /k/ sound. Either way, TA for listening to the Words of the Week this week, Spartan Nation! We hope you remember to say GRAMERCY to those who are kind to you this weekend. Happy Thanksgiving!
