The LIBRARY will be closed during periods 1 through 5 all this week, because of AP testing. Students who need to print will have to come into the library or lab 101 before school or after 5th that week.

Color Guard Tryouts are this week from 3:15-4:30 pm in the North Gym. Don’t forget to bring your friends because whoever brings the most people by the end of the week will win a bag of candy! See you at tryouts!

Summer School registration has begun! Students need to meet with their counselor according to the following schedule:
WEEK OF MAY 1 through MAY 10 --all current LPS students
Parents/legal guardians MUST sign the summer school enrollment form before registration can be processed. The Summer School registration booklet containing important information about tuition, dates, courses offered and more can be accessed online at www.lps.org.

East Singers and the infamous E Band will present Expressions 2017 “Record Resurrection” this FRIDAY and SATURDAY evening at 7:00 pm in the auditorium. Tickets are $7.00 and will be sold this week during lunches and also at the door. See you there!

Hey Spartans! Which team of teachers would you like to see dance with the Apollonaires? At all lunches, the Apollonaires will have a booth for you to donate to your team of choice! Whichever team raises the most money will show off their moves at the next pep rally on May 5th! The teams are...(drum roll please...) Mr. Ebke and Mr. Peterson.... Ms. Graulty and Ms. Mathews.... Mr. Shafer and Mr. Thompson...Mrs. Hartman and Dr. Staples Farmer...Ms. Cassata and Mr. Limbach! One lucky team will get to show off their Spartan Strength and Sass!

Looking for a volunteer opportunity? Randolph Elementary School is hosting a Fun Night on FRIDAY, MAY 12th from 4:45-8pm. They are in search of volunteers to run games during the Fun Night. Please see Ms. Daly or Ms. Wenz for more information.

Youth Leadership Lincoln applications are now available in the Counseling Center for current 9th grade students. Participants have the opportunity to meet with community leaders from all areas of society and learn first-hand how youth leadership can make a difference. The application deadline is FRIDAY, MAY 19th.

Learn more at the 2017 SRO Summer Youth Academy presented by the Lincoln Police Department and the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office. The two-day experience is jam packed with fun, hands-on police related activities and demonstrations. Interested students must be 14-18 years of age. You can obtain an application from Officer Pickering, our School Resource Officer. Completed applications must be submitted by MONDAY, MAY 15th at 4:00 pm. Selection notification will occur on TUESDAY, MAY 23rd.

Cafeteria Balances for underclassmen will be automatically carried over to the next school year. Refunds from student meal accounts are granted when a student graduates, leaves the District, or a special circumstance necessitates the refund. Upon request, money remaining in the student’s meal account may be transferred to another account or a refund may be requested. After three years, any remaining balances for students who have withdrawn from the District will be donated to the Lincoln Public Schools Nutrition Services Department. Parents/guardians may request a refund or a transfer by completing the Meal Account Refund/Transfer request and email to : accountsreceivable@lps.org or mail to: Lincoln Public Schools Accounting Department PO Box 82889 Lincoln, NE 68501. Please note-it may take 2-3 weeks to process a refund request.
