Welcome to East High School, August 20 and 21, 2007, mark the fortieth year for Spartanville. Our student enrollment is approximately 1490. We welcome 17 new staff members. Iím so happy and proud to serve as your principal this year. East High School is a learning place. One goal of Lincoln Public Schools and East High is to increase achievement for each student. One way we will continue to do that is through the work of Professional Learning Communities. In PLCs teachers collaborate with colleagues about what students should learn, the best strategies for learning, what to do when students donít learn, and what to do when students have already learned the material. The 2:06 p.m. dismissal time on Tuesday afternoons provides the important time for teachers to work collaboratively. Thank you for your continued support of our work. The 2007-2008 school year will be my ninth at East. I look forward to meeting you and having a great school year. Go Spartans!
