DECA is accepting clothing donations in the commons!

Did you know that the average individual throws away 68 pounds of clothing, textiles and shoes that could be recycled?

According to the EPA the United States recycles only 16% of all clothing, shoes, and similar textile goods.  Despite the best efforts of charities and thrift stores, 84% or millions upon millions of tons of clothing are wasted every year causing a major problem for our landfills.

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SCHOOL AND HELP CLEAN UP OUR LANDFILLS!

HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND BECOME A GO GREEN AMBASSADOR!

Just place your unwanted clothing and shoes in a clear plastic bag and have your student bring them to school.  Jeans, T-shirts, shirts, dresses, coats, belts, draperies, curtains, blankets, and all types of shoes can be recycled.  Please fill a bag for your school! Bring your bags to parent teacher conferences and drop them off at the DECA table, or remember you can send them to school with your student!
