That special time of year is coming up again. The time when hearts are beating as fast as a hummingbird’s wing. Cupid is lining up his arrows with his next love victims. And you can find lovers holding hands as they walk down the street snuggled in their coats. The day I am referring to is St Valentine’s Day: “The Day of Love.”
With a failing economy and rising prices, it is increasingly difficult to tell your crush that you like them with a little trinket or two. Also, half the time, we have no idea what to get them! This is where I come in with a snippet of information to help you out.
East High School offers the opportunity to send a rose, to your crush with a personalized message. The flowers are delivered during class and I have seen many a cheek blush as they received their rose. If you want to give them a more personalized food item, try baking a batch of cookies. Chocolate chip cookies are a great idea and they represent half of the cookies baked in American homes each year. The best part of baking cookies for them is that they will most likely feel inclined to share them with you, giving you time to indulge in your sweet tooth. Just remember that if it’s a note, a stuffed animal, a rose, or just a candy bar, if it’s from the heart it doesn’t matter.
