Starting on August 17, we will be utilizing a 3/2 schedule. Students have been assigned to predetermined groups alternating between in-person instruction at school and synchronous remote instruction from home using Zoom. Synchronous means remote students will be required to Zoom in to receive instruction from their teacher following their regular class schedule and attendance will be taken.

Group A: Letters A–K

Starting on August 17, students assigned to group A will go to school on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesdays will alternate between in-person and Zoom instruction (see calendar on the website). Early release days will now be every Wednesday, NOT Tuesday as previously scheduled. On Thursday, Friday and alternating Wednesdays, students will be required to Zoom in to receive instruction from their teacher following their regular class schedule and attendance will be taken.

Group B: Letters L–Z

Starting on August 17th, students assigned to group B will go to school on Thursday and Friday. Wednesdays will alternate between in-person and Zoom instruction (see calendar on the website). Early release days will now be every Wednesday, NOT Tuesday as previously scheduled. On Monday, Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays, students will be required to Zoom in to receive instruction from their teacher following their regular class schedule and attendance will be taken.

Focus Programs and TCA

Students in The Career Academy, Science Focus Program, and Arts and Humanities Focus Program will attend their home high school on assigned in-person days, and will continue to attend classes in-person daily at the focus programs and TCA. On remote learning days, the student is responsible for transportation to the program site or to the high school to take the bus to the program site.

Information and Change Requests

Students were divided into two groups by last name alphabetically. Generally, students with last names A-K are in Group A. Students with last names L-Z are in Group B. While dividing the groups, we made every attempt to make sure students in the same family with different last names were grouped with their family members (siblings).

Parents can request their child be assigned to a different group in order to be with a family member, help with carpooling arrangements, or childcare arrangements (e.g students caring for siblings). To help us keep our numbers as balanced as possible, requests to change groups for students to be with friends will not be approved. If your student and/or family circumstances change throughout the year, you may contact your school to request a change in groups after the school year starts. Multiple requests may not be granted. Please submit your request by Thursday, August 6 at 5:00 p.m.
